Disproving the "Gender Pay Gap" with a Single Chart
A simple chart shows what feminists want to hide
The chart below was found in a 2022 Substack post Graphing the Gender Wage Gap. It is a simple graphical representation of data found a 2009 Department of Labor report that concluded “… the raw wage gap continues to be used in misleading ways to advance public policy agendas without fully explaining the reasons behind the gap.”
The chart shows:
Red: the so-called pay gap suffered by women (79.6%)
Green: the portion attributable to differences in actual workforce participation (14.4%)
Yellow: the portion attributable to differences in women’s preferences in forms of compensation (6%)
These differences charted in green and yellow are described in the federal report:
There are observable differences in the attributes of men and women that account for most of the wage gap [including]:
A greater percentage of women than men tend to work part-time. Part-time work tends to pay less than full-time work.
A greater percentage of women than men tend to leave the labor force for child birth, child care and elder care.
Women, especially working mothers, tend to value “family friendly” workplace policies more than men.
Class dismissed.
The gender pay gap hoax was exported to Europe. In Germany, the local BBC did a clarification on the dirty/ clean gender pay gap. They said that the real pay gap after corrections was 6%. But this is still a lie. The only true conclusion one can make out of the statistics is that the gender based discrimination lies between 0-6%, because only 6% of the statistical gap was not yet officially explained. If there was real intention, they would find more explanations (along with risk aversion, security, aversion to longer commuting, preference to work-life balance, lower pressure to earn etc.)
To my disgust this zombie gpg was repeated year after year in local BBC by the leftist infected feminist media.
