A Letter to Catherine Rampell About Her Article “Why Gen Z men love Trump's reign of destruction”
Although she acknowledges the unfair way that men have been treated for decades, Rampell's gender bias prevents her from fully recognizing the source of this mistreatment
Dear Ms. Rampell,
I respectfully ask that you take the time to read this letter about your recent article in The Washington Post, Why Gen Z men love Trump’s reign of destruction, and to thoughtfully consider what I say here.
As a brief introduction, I’m a lifelong reader of the Washington Post who nevertheless has long noticed the paper’s anti-male gender bias, provable by its decades-long imbalanced coverage of domestic violence1 and made undeniable by its 2018 publication of the op-ed Why can't we hate men? Since then, I’ve been sending open letters to Post columnists who have written articles that perpetuate this feminism-inspired bias.
Although your article acknowledges that “… the economic, social and psychological problems affecting men have been largely neglected — sometimes even mocked — by progressives”, you, your fellow Post columnists, and the Democratic party are all completely blind to the feminist pink elephant in the room, the obvious cause behind Donald Trump’s successful demagogic appeal,2 to these Gen Z men:
Nearly 200 years of hateful feminist political, legal, and cultural indoctrination directed against men and masculinity.3
As a glaring example of this anti-male indoctrination, you need look no further than the aforementioned Why can't we hate men? op-ed, where the Post provided a platform for a radical feminist to broadcast to the world a Nazi-like hatred for men.
Ms. Rampell, do you think that by printing an article that by its very name must be considered “hate speech”, the Post falls short of the true spirit of its “Democracy Dies in Darkness” slogan?
What would you say if the article was titled “Why can’t we hate women?”
In the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton described many Trump supporters as a “basket of deplorables”. Many journalists and political analysts and Clinton herself said this comment was a factor in her loss to Trump.
“Can you think of any ways that nearly 200 years of feminism has treated men as a “basket of deplorables?”
If not, please recall the many gender slurs and epithets directed against men and boys for more than five decades: “toxic masculinity”, “mansplaining”, “manspreading”, “man baby”, “male tears”, and the most odious of them all, “male chauvinist pig”.
Or see my post Feminism is a Hate Movement: In Their Own Words, that extensively documents just some of the almost limitless number of hateful quotes made by feminists over the past nearly two centuries.
(STOP! Did you actually read the post? Please, to fully understand feminism, you really need to at least take a quick look!)
Or, specific to Gen Z males, born between 1997 and 2012 (currently aged 13 to 28), consider the many hateful feminism-driven outrages that have occurred during their lifetimes:
2003: “Boys are Stupid” Products
When Gen Z boys were from 1 to 6 years old, a girls’ clothing store sold a variety of t-shirts and other “Boys are Stupid” products that directed feminist-inspired hate onto boys:
2006: Duke Lacrosse Rape Hoax
When Gen Z boys were from 1 to 9 years old, a group of Duke University lacrosse players were falsely accused of raping a woman. After being harassed and physically threatened by both Duke students and faculty, they were proven to be victims of a rape hoax.
2011: The U.S. Department of Education Undermines Male College Students’ Civil Rights
When Gen Z boys were from 1 to 14 years old, the U.S. Department of Education, under the presumed authority of Title IX, issued a “Dear Colleague Letter” to American colleges and universities. A book, The Campus Rape Frenzy described the result of these changes:
“… the federal government, joined by virtually all colleges and universities, has mounted a systematic attack on bedrock American principles including the presumption of innocence, access to exculpatory evidence, the right to cross-examine one’s accuser, and due process.”
2014: UVA’s “A Rape on Campus” false rape hoax
When Zoomers were from 2 to 17, Rolling Stone magazine published A Rape on Campus, a defamatory article that falsely reported on a purported group sexual assault at the University of Virginia. The article was ultimately retracted by the magazine.
2014: Columbia University’s “Mattress Girl” Falsely Accuses Male of Rape
A Columbia student, Emma Sulkowicz, accused a fellow student of violently raping her, but when the university found the accused not guilty, Sulkowicz began carrying a mattress around campus to represent the "weight" of her victimization. She later “reconsidered” and admitted to a hatred of men.
2017: #MeToo
The #MeToo movement began in 2017 when Gen Z males were from 5 to 20 years old. As I reported in #MeToo, Thy Name is Hypocrisy, #MeToo
“… morphed from a movement for the expression of legitimate complaints by women about the sexual misbehavior of some men into a two-faced juggernaut that allows any man to be accused, tried, and sentenced in the court of public opinion, hounded out of his job, and made a social pariah without a shred of due process, often by anonymous accusers. And the movement fails to recognize women’s own corresponding bad sexual behavior or of the female contribution to men’s sexual misconduct.”
2018: The Washington Post Publishes Two Provably Gender-Biased Articles
When Gen Z’ers were from 6 to 21, the Post published two undeniably anti-male articles, Why can’t we hate men? And Amber Heard’s op-ed that defamed Johnny Depp.
Is it any wonder that so many Gen Z males are “loving Trump’s reign of destruction”?
The answer to why so many Gen Z males support Trump is that nearly 200 years of unhinged feminism, much of it promoted by The Washington Post, helped to create the monster that is Donald Trump.
The best, shortest proof I can offer is a 2018 article by Andrew Sullivan, #MeToo and the Taboo Topic of Nature. That article ended with the following paragraph:
“Trump understands this dynamic (feminist hatred of men) intuitively. [Trump advisor Steve Bannon] believed it was integral to the Trump project, and wants the slanted elite discourse on men to continue and intensify [emphasis added]. I think this issue was an under-acknowledged cause for Clinton’s failure. At some point, Democrats and liberals are going to have to decide if they want to “problematize” half the voting population.”
At some point, Democrats and liberals are going to have to decide if they want to “problematize” half the voting population.”
Ms. Rampell, in closing, let me reiterate what I’ve said in letters to other Post columnists.
It’s clear that you and the Democratic party are mostly clueless about what feminism has become, about feminism’s dark side. If I may suggest, to learn more you and the Democrats might want to start by reading my letter to Christine Emba in response to her July 2023 “Men are lost” article.
My letter to her includes discussion of how feminism:
propagates “idiot hypocrisy” by telling obvious falsehoods
has caused extensive societal damage by six decades of feminist lies and indoctrination.
And finally, don’t forget, the key for Democrats to understand the gender gap that favors Trump can be found in the simple lesson of kicking friendly dogs:
Kick a friendly dog often enough and eventually you have a mean dog on your hands.
This observation was confirmed by a February 2023 report by The Coalition to End Domestic Violence that described a 10-Year Suppression of the Truth on Domestic Violence by the Washington Post.
Because my intent is only to challenge the media’s feminist gender bias, I’ve tried to avoid discussing Trump. I do agree, however, with retired federal judge and January 6th Committee witness J. Michael Luttig: "Donald Trump and his allies and supporters are a clear and present danger to American democracy."
Beginning with the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention, where the Declaration of Sentiments was “… filled with statements asserting the near-measureless brutality and injustice of the entire male sex towards the female, beginning with the document’s primary claim, astonishing in its vulgar malice, that “The history of mankind is a history of repeated injuries and usurpation on the part of man toward woman, having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over her.” — anti-feminist Janice Fiamengo, Men Have Been Psychologically Abused by Feminist Ideology For Decades
Thank you, Stephen, very nice work here. You are throwing pearls before swine, but your work is important, just the same.
